Booster Club for the Theatre program at Spalding High School is a parent/student-run organization that is committed to supporting the Spalding High School Theatre Program and its students. Everyone is welcome to attend our meeting or join the group!
Article I: Purpose
To promote, support, assist and grow the theatre program within our school community and in the surrounding community.
Article II: Purpose Statement
To establish and grow the Theatre Program Booster Club in order to support, assist, and improve the theatre program at Spalding High School. Promoting the performing arts at Spalding High School provides an opportunity; to strengthen and grow our programs, to support and assist the Faculty, to encourage and show school spirit to our students, to build support for the Fine Arts Department, and to unify the entire community through events and programs.
Article III: Mission
The mission is to support the theatre program faculty and staff by assisting them in various areas of need including: raising financial support for additional resources, equipment and opportunities, coordinating volunteers for performances, events, and specific projects, assisting in administrative duties for special events, out-of-town trips, etc.
The President shall preside at all membership meetings, keep members informed, cooperate with and assist the theatre director (Artistic Director), school administrators, and school board officials. They are responsible to perform other duties as assigned.
The Vice President shall, in the President’s absence, preside over membership meetings and perform other duties which are normally incumbent upon his/her office. The Vice President serves as a co-chair for the Community Outreach Committee.
The Secretary shall keep and maintain all records of general membership meetings and committee meetings, which records shall be read and acted upon at each membership meeting. The Secretary shall also conduct such correspondence as may be directed by the President, committee or membership, and perform other such duties as are normally incumbent upon his/her office. The Secretary shall also maintain and make available at any meeting a current roster of the club’s members and current copy of the club by-laws. The Secretary serves as co-chair for the Advertisement Committee.
The Treasurer shall keep and maintain all financial records of the Booster Club transactions. The Treasurer shall present a statement of account at every meeting and at such other times requested. No funds shall be disbursed without the approval of the board. The Treasurer serves as co-chair for the Fundraising Committee.
