Regional One Act Play in Perry Georgia

We are so proud of these students!!! Second place and tons of shout outs... Best Ensemble... All Star Cast Members: Will Samples, Madelyn Grant, and Colby Pitts. Student stepped into a role the day of competition due to another student getting sick and won Best Female Ensemble, way to go Janie Parker. Our freshman Stage Manager, Cheyenne Bailey took on her first One Act! Go drama jags!

Award for Best Supporting Actress goes to Erin Merritt as Myrtle Mae Simmons in Harvey.


Award for Guest Appearance in a SHS Theatre Production goes to Dr. Shannon Thompson for his portrayal as Captain Brackett in South Pacific.


Award for Best Student Director goes to Elisha Tirres for her work as Student Director in South Pacific. 


Award for Best Ensemble to Lydia Engel for her portrayal as Ensign Lucy Mabel in South Pacific.

One Act Play Competition: Junaglbook by Edward Mast

SHS placed third at the Regional One Act at Mary Persons High School on October 26, 2018

Michael Gooden and Avandre Clark were selected as All Star Cast Members.

Literary Competition

Avandre' Clark placed second in Humorous Oral Interpretation, Sally Waits and Ni'Terriaye Davis placed second in Duo Oral Interpretation, and Benjamin Brown placed third in Dramatic Oral Interpretation at the Regional Literary Competition in Perry, GA on March 1, 2019.
